Description
“The Empathy Protocol” is a futuristic tale that follows Clara, a brilliant neuroscientist, on her quest to create a revolutionary device that can transmit the emotions and thoughts of one person to another. Her goal is to build a bridge between individuals in order to eliminate misunderstandings and foster mutual understanding. However, as she prepares to unveil her invention to the world, she runs into Victor, the head of a powerful technology conglomerate who sees this innovation as a threat to his empire. The story takes place in a contrasting environment where glittering skyscrapers rub shoulders with disadvantaged neighborhoods, illustrating the growing inequalities in society. The secondary characters enrich the story: Dr. Lemoine, Clara’s mentor who encourages her to pursue her dreams despite the obstacles; and Sam, her childhood friend struggling with his own inner demons and who questions the ethics of imposed empathy.
